Not a big fan of a new standard.  I thought DVD was good enough.  And it probably is.
So I decided to borrow the neighbor kids PS3 tonight to try out BluRay on my 110" projector.  Alls I have to say is..........  icon_eek icon_eek icon_eek icon_eek
What a difference!  DVD might be good enough on a smaller screen but on a big screen you can REALLY tell a difference.  I was afraid this was going to happen cause now I am going to have to upgrade to BluRay.  Damn.

Just an off topic tid bit I thought I would post.

Got my Blu-Ray player for Xmas.  I think it depends on the movie.  Some don't look that much better than DVD.  But the ones that do are awesome.  I've got something like 250 DVDs and I'm not planning on making the move to purchasing Blu-Rays.  I decided to give Netflix a try and it has been cool.  Then I can watch everything on Blu-Ray and don't have to buy them or go to the video store.  Plus the kids can watch the instant streaming movies they have through the Xbox 360 too.
